More academic recognition is rolling in for Allen University Athletics, as the Yellow Jacket Softball program makes waves both on the field and in the classroom.

In a major achievement for the 2024–25 academic year, ten members of the Allen University softball team have been named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes, one of the most prestigious academic honors in collegiate softball. The award, presented annually by Easton and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), is given to student-athletes who maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5 or higher throughout the academic year.

This year's Allen honorees include:

Jeramyah Adams

Destiny Breton

Tylar Crawford

Alaina Harvey

Zakiyah Henderson

Sarah Henry

Elissa Rich

Jada Sanders

Ta'Keviya Sims

Raevyn Thomas

These student-athletes represent a growing culture of academic commitment within the program. The NFCA will publish its full national list later this fall, which will include individual honorees and the top 10 academic teams across all seven collegiate membership divisions.

Pushing the Standard Higher

For Head Softball Coach Kandi Krebs, the academic achievement is a reflection of team-wide accountability and consistent hard work beyond the diamond.

"I always stress the student part of student-athlete, and we worked hard to have a strong team GPA," said Coach Krebs. "Having ten out of fourteen players earn this honor is amazing, and we're aiming even higher this year. Our goal is for everyone to be Academic All-American."

With a team GPA that continues to rise, the Yellow Jackets are not only building momentum for the upcoming season, but also reinforcing a legacy of excellence that reaches far beyond game day.

Excellence That Extends Off the Field

This recognition is more than just a number—it's a symbol of the discipline, time management, and determination these student-athletes apply to every aspect of their collegiate careers. As Allen University Athletics continues to grow in stature across multiple programs, honors like these reaffirm the university's commitment to developing champions in the classroom and in competition.
