SALISBURY, NC — The Allen University Lady Yellow Jackets traveled to the Jaycee Optimist Sports Complex on Thursday evening and split a doubleheader with Livingstone College, highlighted by a powerful offensive performance in Game 1 before falling in a tightly contested nightcap.
Game 1
Allen 13, Livingstone 4
The Lady Yellow Jackets opened the afternoon in dominant fashion, exploding offensively to defeat Livingstone College 13–4 behind a balanced offensive attack and a complete pitching performance from Elissa Rich.
Allen wasted little time getting on the scoreboard as both teams traded runs in the opening inning before the Lady Yellow Jackets seized control in the middle innings. Allen erupted for six runs in the third inning, followed by five runs in the fourth, creating a commanding lead that Livingstone could not overcome.
Allen finished the game with 13 runs on 14 hits, while Livingstone was held to four runs on five hits.
Several Lady Yellow Jackets delivered standout performances at the plate.
Destiny Breton led the offensive charge, finishing 3-for-4 with three runs scored, consistently setting the tone for Allen's lineup.
Zee Henderson also had a big day offensively, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs, helping spark Allen's explosive middle innings.
TK Thomas added another strong performance, finishing 2-for-3 with three RBIs, while Yazmyn Pryor contributed two runs and an RBI to help extend the Lady Yellow Jackets' lead.
Allen also received key contributions from Nayomi Pryor, who collected two hits and scored a run, while Kanitria Antenor added an RBI and crossed the plate twice.
On the mound, Elissa Rich delivered a steady performance, pitching five innings to earn the victory. Rich allowed five hits and four runs while striking out four, keeping Livingstone from mounting a comeback after Allen's offensive surge.
Allen's aggressive base running also played a key role, recording multiple stolen bases throughout the game, while the defense remained clean with zero errors.

Livingstone 3, Allen 2
After an explosive Game 1, the Lady Yellow Jackets dropped the nightcap, falling 3–2 as Livingstone relied on stronger pitching, timely hitting, and improved defensive execution to hold off Allen's late push.
The Lady Yellow Jackets return to action on the road as they face Kentucky State University on March 10, 2026 at 10:00 AM.
