ALBANY, G.A. --- The Allen University softball team was defeated in each game of a three-game series at Albany State. In a doubleheader Thursday, Allen lost game one, 9-0, in five innings, and game two, 9-1, in five innings. As the series concluded Friday, Allen fell, 23-8, in five innings.

GAME ONE:
Nayomi Pryor began the game for Allen with a single in the top of the first inning. Later in the fifth, fellow freshman Yazmyn Pryor singled and stole second base.

GAME TWO:
In the second game of Thursday's doubleheader, Allen plated a run in the third inning. The Yellow Jackets' scoring efforts began by Nayomi Pryor singled, and then advancing to second base on an ASU fielding errory. Later in the frame, Pryor scored on an RBI groundout from Elissa Rich. The Pryor twins again accounted for Allen's hits as Nayomi recorded one, and Yazmyn went 2-2 at the plate. Zakiyah Henderson also reached on a hit by pitch.

in the circle, Rich struck out two ASU hitters.

GAME THREE:
To close out the series, Allen posted their best offensive performance of the weekend. The Yellow Jackets jumped in front first thanks to a sacrifice fly from Kanitria Antenor in the first inning. Later in the third inning, Rich connected on a double that brought home Jeramyah Adams from second base. That momentum carried over into the fourth inning as Allen plated four runs off of an RBI hit by Zy'Khia Crisler and a grand slam home run by Rich. Allen added one more run in the fifth inning as Yazmyn Pryor scored on a ball put in play by Crisler.

Nayomi Pryor and Elissa Rich each recorded multi-hit performances as the Yellow Jackets totaled nine hits. In the circle, Trinity Brown struck out two batters in 2.2 innings pitched.
