ATLANTA, G.A. --- The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) announced Tuesday, March 25, 2025, that Allen softball's
Jeramyah Adams has been named SIAC Player of the Week.
Adams, a freshman outfielder, went 4-for-8 at the plate in Allen's three game SIAC series against Clark Atlanta. She drove in four runs, and also hit her first career double, to help the Yellow Jackets secure their first series win of the season.
"Our team did a great job this weekend of putting together everything that we've been working on," said Adams. "Defensively, we backed up our pitchers and made the outs we needed. Offensively, everyone stepped up and did their job. I was also really excited to finally show of my different batting skill set, and it felt awesome knowing that all the work I've put in behind the scenes is paying off because as our coaches tell us 'Hard work is never easy but always worth it.' Winning our first series was an amazing feeling, and hopefully there will be many more to come."
The Lawrenceville, Georgia native also recorded the first and second multi-hit games of her career in the Saturday doubleheader.
"I've known from the start of the season that Jeramyah was a key member of our talented freshman class," said Allen head coach Kandi Krebs. "She is a player that has put in the time and effort it takes to be successful. I know that with having her as one of the great examples of hard work on our team, and with God's guidance, we can all continue achieving our goals."
Allen will be back in action on Saturday, March 29 in the first game of a three-game series at Savannah State, with a doubleheader scheduled the following day.
