Box Score 3 SPARTANBURG, S.C. --- Allen softball scored 22 runs across a three-game stretch in the SIAC/CIAA crossover tournament Saturday and Sunday, however, the Yellow Jackets fell to Livingstone 9-8, Bluefield State 20-8, and Lincoln (PA) 22-6.

The Yellow Jackets jumped on Livingstone right away, scoring three runs in the first inning.
Alaina Harvey drove a single up the middle to bring home
Michaela Barron and Allen's first run of the game. Following a throwing error by Livingstone's shortstop, Allen saw
Jada Sanders and Harvey both touch home plate to push Allen's lead to 3-0. Livingstone responded, however, with three runs in the first and six runs in the second to take a 9-3 advantage after two frames. Allen bounced-back in the third with a pair of doubles from Sanders and
Faith Robinson that each brought in a run. Also in the third, Livingstone committed their second error of the game and allowed Robinson to score. After three innings, Allen had cut into Livingstone's lead, making it 9-6. Later in the sixth, Ta'keviya Sims connected on an RBI triple down the right field line, and then in the seventh inning Allen saw
Jasmine Blaxton hit an RBI double to right center to bring home Allen's eighth and final run of the game. Allen finished the game out-hitting Livingstone 12-5 and committed only one error

Saturday afternoon saw Allen take the field once again and face-off against Bluefield State. Much like their first game of the day, the Yellow Jackets' offense found success early-on with a pair of runs in the first and second inning. The first frame saw Sims score on a wild pitch and
Anjellet Corner come home on a fielding error from the Big Blue and push Allen's lead to 4-0. In the top of the third inning, Bluefield State scored 12 runs. In the bottom half of the third, Allen responded with four runs. Sanders and Zinygea Marizette both scored on wild pitches, and the big swing of the frame came from Corner who lifted a two-RBI single to left center to score both
Destiny Breton and
Elissa Rich. The comeback effort halted their, however, as Allen did not score in the next two innings.

Sunday:
Lincoln (PA) 22, Allen 6
Allen returned to Tyger River Park Sunday for a matchup against Lincoln (PA). Trailing 6-0, the Yellow Jackets'
Zariyah Stripling singled to left field to score Corner for Allen's first run of the game. Later in the third, following a two-out double from Corner, Harvey drove a double of her own to left field that scored Corner and plated Allen's second run of the contest. Fast forward to the fifth, Allen brought home four more runs with the highlight swing coming from Harvey who tripled to right field and drove in a pair of runs.
Allen will begin SIAC play Saturday as they welcome Savannah State to the capital city. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24 and the game will be held at Westwood High School in Blythewood, SC. Sunday's doubleheader will take place back at Allen's home field at MLK Park with game two of the series scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
