ATLANTA, Ga. (April 17, 2023)– The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced its softball weekly honors, the league office released on Monday.

Morgan Moon (Allen) was named
Co-Player of the Week along with Tanijah Washington of Benedict.

Outfielder
Morgan Moon led the Allen offense on the week hitting .500 (5-for-10) with three singles, a double, triple, and an RBI. She also stole two bases and walked once as she reached base six times in the three games against Albany State.
She also made numerous stellar catches and defensive plays in the outfield with an error-free weekend. MOON is the first Allen Softball player to be named SIAC Player of the Week in Div. II History.
She then led the Lady Yellow Jackets into their season finale on Wednesday when they went on the road to Sumter to crush Morris College 25-0 and 21-4.
Moon then completed her senior season hitting .225 (3rd on team) with 23 hits, 17 runs scored, 9 extra-base hits, and a team-best 17 RBIs along with 7 stolen bases
