COLUMBIA, S.C. --- The Allen University men's track and field team turned in a strong performance at the 2026 SIAC Track and Field Championships, highlighted by a conference champion, multiple podium finishes, and a collection of All-SIAC honors.
Jhyrique Mangum led the way for the Yellow Jackets, capturing the SIAC championship in the men's shot put with a mark of 15.45 meters to earn First Team All-Conference honors. Mangum added to his standout weekend with a third-place finish in the hammer throw (46.74m), again securing First Team All-SIAC recognition.
The Yellow Jackets also showcased their strength in the jumps, placing four student-athletes in the top seven of the men's long jump. Jamarri Norman paced the group with a second-place finish at 7.39 meters, earning First Team All-Conference honors. Sytrevion Dyer followed closely in third place with a leap of 7.20 meters, also collecting First Team honors.
Jaheim Speller contributed a fourth-place finish with a mark of 7.13 meters to earn Second Team All-SIAC honors, while Christopher Joseph rounded out the group with a seventh-place finish (6.75m), also earning Second Team recognition.
Norman continued his strong championship showing in the triple jump, securing a third-place finish with a mark of 14.62 meters to add another First Team All-Conference honor to his resume.
On the track, the 4x100-meter relay team of Brayden Martin, Devin Singletary, Aijalon Jackson, and Nasiah Rhodes posted a time of 42.02 to place sixth overall, advancing through preliminary competition and competing in the finals.
