WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. --- At their final indoor meet ahead of the SIAC Championships, the Allen University men's track and field team posted six top-10 finishes, including three from
Jamarri Norman, at the Camel City Sprints and Distance events held February 7-8 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Additionally, a total of 14 new personal records were set by various Yellow Jackets.
Norman, a freshman from Calhoun Falls, South Carolina, placed second in the high jump, fifth in the long jump, and ninth in the triple jump against competitors from NCAA Division I, Division II, and Division III programs. Norman's distance of 13.07m in the triple jump was also his season best.
Jhyrique Mangum set new personal records in both the shot put and weight throw, as the junior from Swansea, South Carolina placed eighth in both events.
Then in the 4x400 relay, the team of
Zion Smart,
Jabari Moss,
Ronderius Gray, and
Omariun Key finished in sixth with a time of 3:13.18.
Allen will travel to Louisville, Kentucky to conclude their 2025 indoor track and field season from February 20-21. The SIAC Championships will be hosted at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.
