ATLANTA, G.A. --- Following ten regular season meets, Allen men's track and field spent their weekend competing in the three-day SIAC Championships meet held on the campus of Morehouse College in Atlanta, G.A., and came away with multiple top-ten finishes.
The Yellow Jackets' highest placement in a finals event was in the 100m as
Zalyn Myers clocked a time of 10.98 to finish fourth. In the 4x100 and 4x400 relay, Allen's competitors secured seventh and eighth place, respectively. Later in the high jump,
Bryant Simpson finished in a tie for fourth with a distance of 1.85m. Additionally, Omariun Key placed sixth in the triple jump and
Montrell White placed tenth in the long jump.
In throwing competitions, senior
Sheldon Brown found his name among the top-25 finishers in the shot put, hammer, and javelin events.
