ORANGEBURG, S.C. --- In the final regular season meet of the 2024 season, Allen Men's Track and Field recorded eight top-10 finishes in the "Sharonda Coleman-Singleton Classic" hosted by South Carolina State University.
Zalyn Myers initially clocked a time of 10.88 in the 100m, but then improved on that performance in the 100m finals with a sixth place finish and a time of 10.77. Later in the 400 Hurdles
Jabari Moss and
Zion Smart, finished seventh and eighth overall, respectively. In the 4x100 relay, Moss, Myers,
Jamavie Glover, and Zechariah Addison placed fifth at a time of 42.47.
Jhyrique Mangum, a sophomore thrower from Swansea, S.C., placed seventh in both the shot put and hammer events.
The Yellow Jackets now turn their sights to the 2024 Cricket SIAC Men's and Women's Track and Field Championship. This three-day event will be held Thursday, April 25 through Saturday, April 27 in Atlanta, G.A. at Morehouse College at B. T. Harvey Stadium.
