CENTRAL, S.C. --- Allen Men's Track and Field shined in Friday's "SWU Gotta Run Invite" held at Southern Wesleyan University in Central, S.C as the Yellow Jackets secured 19 top-10 finishes at the in-state meet. 

The highest finish for Allen in the track events came from Zayln Myers in the 100m with a time of 10.73 to place second overall. Jamavie Glover joined Myers among the top-placers in the event with a time of 10.93 for sixth place. In the 200m, Zechariah Addison and Jamari Lewis placed 12th and 15th place, respectively. Later in the 400m, Zechariah Addison finished seventh with a time of 49.94. Then, in the 110m Hurdles, the trio of Jabari Moss, Jayden Dunn, and Alijah Maddox secured sixth, seventh, and eighth place. The team of Jamavie Glover, Omariun Key, Addison, and Myers clocked a time of 41.89 to place third in the 4x100m Relay. 

However, the top finisher at the event for the Yellow Jackets was Jhyrique Mangum in the shot put. Mangum, a sophomore from Swansea, S.C., threw a distance of 14.62m to finish first among nearly 30 competitors. 

The Yellow Jackets face a short turnaround to their next meet on Saturday, April 6, but it is just a short distance away with the USC Gamecock Invitational held at nearby University of South Carolina. Competition will begin at 9:00 a.m.
