COLUMBIA, SC --- Allen Men's Track and Field competed in the second indoor event of their season Friday and Saturday in the "VMI Invitational" event held at the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, VA.
The Yellow Jackets' saw seven new personal records set at the event that included Alijah Maddox in the 60m hurdles,
Zalyn Myers and Jamari Lewis in the 200m,
Zeccharia Addison and
Zion Smart in the 400m,
Jhyrique Mangum in the weight throw, and
Jamavie Glover in the long jump.
Among the top placers for Allen at the event were
Zalyn Myers finishing 5th in the Men's 60m dash, and Glover placing 6th in the long jump
Allen will return to Virginia February 9th as they travel to Liberty University in Lynchburg for the Liberty Memorial Invite.
