COLUMBIA, SC --- In their first indoor meet of the spring semester, Allen Men's Track and Field placed six top-20 finishers Saturday in the 22-team "Gamecock Opener" event held at the University of South Carolina. 

The Yellow Jackets' highest finish came in the 60 meter hurdles as sprinter Jabari Moss clocked a time of 8.76, placing him 13th overall and 3rd among NCAA Division II participants. 

Later in the weight throw, Jhyrique Mangum came in 12th overall, 3rd within Division II participants, following a throw of 12.93m (42-05.25). Meanwhile Sheldon Brown also notched a top-20 finish in 18th place with a distance of 12.23m (40-01.50). 

Allen will be back in action beginning January 26th in Lexington, Virginia for a two-day event held at Virginia Military Institute.
