COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Allen University men's track and field team competed at the Div. I USC Indoor Open in Columbia on February 17 to complete their indoor season. Other SIAC teams competing include Benedict, Savannah St. and Edward Waters as well as CIAA foes Claflin, Lincoln and St. Augustine's.
Leading the men in the sprints was freshmanÂ
Zalyn Myers who placed 12th out of 75 in the 60 meter dash running a time of 7.02 seconds, the third-best time in the SIAC. Also competing int he 60 meters was junior
Montrell White who ran a time of 7.18 seconds to place 36th while sophomore Joshua Burley was then 46th in 7.32 seconds.
Myers then placed 34th out of 70 sprinters in the 200 meters in a time of 23.2 seconds.
Leading the men in the 400 meters was freshman
Jabari Moss running a time of 53.8 seconds to place 40th while junior
Daquan Brock finished 45th in 55.6 seconds.
The Yellow Jackets will next head to Wilmington on March 3-4 for the start of the outdoor season at the UNCW Seahawk Invitational at 10 AM as their previous meet at Southern Wesleyan was canceled.
