LOUISVILLE, KY. — The Allen University women's track and field team delivered a historic performance on Day 2 of the SIAC Indoor Track and Field Championships, rewriting program records and cementing their place in school history with a breakthrough showing on the conference stage.
Leading the charge was Diosleydi Gutierrez, who surged to a dominant victory in the women's 800 meters with a time of 2:23.16, capturing First Team All-Conference honors, setting a new school record, and breaking the conference record in the process. Her performance not only secured gold but established one of the most impressive races in program history.
Right behind her was teammate Jamea Lindley, who placed 2nd in the 800 (2:23.24) to also earn First Team All-Conference recognition, giving Allen a powerful one-two finish in one of the meet's most competitive events.
In the field events, Kiara Moss added to the medal haul with a 3rd-place finish in the women's shot put (11.76m), securing another First Team All-Conference honor and continuing Allen's strong presence across multiple disciplines.
When the dust settled, the Yellow Jackets finished 5th overall with 50 points — the highest team point total in program history. The meet also marked:
- Most women's medals in school history
- Most First-Team All-Conference selections ever
- Most combined First- and Second-Team honors in program history
