WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. --- In the second meet of the indoor season for Allen University women's track and field,
Keturah Walker finished in first place in the 200m to lead the Yellow Jackets in Sunday's JDL Flat is Fast Invitational in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Walker, a sophomore, clocked a time of 26.00 to lead more than 50 NCAA Division II competitors. Sunday marked the first time that Walker has ran the indoor 200m at the collegiate level, after previously running the outdoor 200m last season. Walker added a second top-10 finish in the 400m with a time of 1:03.32 at eighth place.Â
Later in the field events,
Savannah Welborne-Zellars recorded a distance of 10.58m to finish in seventh place. Then in the long jump,
Measha Jones leaped a distance of 5.15m to finish in ninth.Â
Allen continues their indoor season on Friday, January 31 at the Carolina Challenge, hosted by the University of South Carolina.Â
