WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. --- To begin their 2025 indoor season, the Allen University women's track and field team nabbed six top-10 finishes in various events Saturday at the Mondo College Invitational.
Among Allen's top performers in the track events,
Amira Belk secured second place in the 60m and tenth place in the 200m,
Aisha Patterson finished eighth in the 200m and eleventh in the 60m prelims, and
Caseyona Hight came in seventh place in the 400m.
Later in the field events, reigning SIAC champion
Measha Jones began her senior season with a fourth place finish in the long jump. Then, in the shot put,
Savannah Welborne-Zellars threw for a distance of 11.44m and finished in ninth place.
The Yellow Jackets will continue their six-meet indoor season on Sunday January 26 back in Winston-Salem, North Carolina at the JDL Flat is Fast Invitational.
