SALISBURY, N.C. — In their second match in as many days, Allen University volleyball suffered their first loss of the season Friday night at Livingstone. The Yellow Jackets (1-1) fell in three sets (22-25, 16-25, 21-25). 

Maliyah Spencer led Allen with nine kills, meanwhile Sydney Ross, Dacia Lowery, and Dazzalon Larkins each added three kills in Friday's effort. Spencer was also solid serving with five aces. Sa'Nyah Daly and Nakia Reed combined for 14 of the Yellow Jackets' 21 assists. On the defensive side, sophomore Myra Lopez recorded 16 digs and Kaiyah Walker, along with Ross, had a solo block. 

The Yellow Jackets will return to Columbia to prepare for their home opener against Paine College on Thursday, September 12. First serve is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. inside John Hurst Adams Gymnasium.
