COLUMBIA, S.C. – Allen University Volleyball is proud to announce that it has been honored with the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award, marking the second consecutive year the program has earned this prestigious national recognition. Presented by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), this award celebrates volleyball programs that demonstrate outstanding academic excellence while maintaining a high level of competitive success on the court.

The Yellow Jackets stand among an elite group of programs, distinguished not only for their performance in the classroom but also for their commitment to the holistic development of student-athletes. In 2026, Allen University Volleyball achieved several notable distinctions as part of this honor:

Allen is one of only 22 volleyball programs in the state of South Carolina to earn the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award. The Yellow Jackets are also one of only 10 NCAA Division II volleyball programs in South Carolina recognized with this distinction, and one of just two SIAC volleyball programs to receive the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award.

This achievement reflects the dedication, discipline, and commitment of Allen's student-athletes, as well as the support and guidance of the faculty, academic support staff, and the broader campus community. The volleyball program continues to set a high standard for what it means to excel both academically and athletically.
