Columbia, SC - The Allen University Lady Yellow Jackets took the floor Thursday night in brand-new white uniforms, and they played every bit as sharp as they looked. That old saying—"when you look good, you feel good… and when you feel good, you play good"—couldn't have been more true inside John Hurst Adams Gymnasium. From the opening whistle, AU set the tone and never let go.
Allen came out swinging in Set 1, overpowering Clark Atlanta 25–14 behind a balanced attack led by Maliyah Spencer and Tahmiah Lawson, who combined for 21 of the team's 37 kills. The Lady Jackets attacked with purpose all night, finishing strong hitting on all cylinders while holding CAU in check.
Sets 2 and 3 saw Clark Atlanta battle back with grit, pushing Allen deep into each frame. But when it mattered most, the Yellow Jackets showed why toughness and composure are the trademarks of Head Coach Danielle Robinson's program. AU closed out the final two sets 27–25, 27–25, securing the 3–0 sweep and sending a message to the SIAC about what this team looks like when they're fully locked in.
