CHARLOTTE, N.C. --- Allen Women's Track and Field saw Measha Jones take first place in the long jump at Friday's JCSU Golden Bulls Collegiate Invitational among a string of strong performances.

Jones, a junior from Manning, S.C., leaped a distance of 5.27m to take the top spot for the first time this season. In addition to her podium performance in the long jump, Jones placed fifth in the 100m, and joined the team of Autumn Clifton, Keturah Walker, and Ty'kira Garrett to finish fourth in the 4x400 relay with a time of 4:20.14. 

Clifton took third place in the 1500m with a time of 5:28.44, placing her ahead of multiple NCAA Division I participants. Later in the javelin, Kiara Wilson threw for a distance of 27.09m, earning third place. 

The Yellow Jackets conclude their regular season Friday, April 12 in Orangeburg, S.C. at the "Electric City Invitational" held on the campus of South Carolina State University.
