ATLANTA, GA (August 11, 2023) - The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced their All-SIAC women's volleyball preseason team featuring 10 returning players from the 2022 SIAC Women's Volleyball All-Conference team.
This year's preseason team is led by Edward Waters' Fatima Ramirez, who was selected as this year's Preseason Offensive Player of the Year alongside Mikayla Boyer, Spring Hill College, who was tabbed as the 2023 Preseason Defensive Player of the Year, announced Friday by the league office. Both of their schools were picked to finish first in their respective divisions also.
All nominations and votes are submitted by head coaches and sports information directors. The Allen women were chosen to finish 6th in the East Division, but with a big new 11-player recruiting class and coming off their 13-win season last year, the Yellowjackets expect big things this season. Watch for coach Dani Robinson and her team to surprise some folks in the SIAC and sneak up the standings.
