COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Allen University women's soccer program has announced its 2023 schedule. Under second-year head coach
Machi Provost, the Lady Yellow Jackets will open the season with three of their first four games on the road.
AU, in its second full year of soccer competition, will play a total of nine home games this season at the Southeastern Freight Lines Soccer Complex, home of the SC United, along with eight matchups on the road. The 17-game schedule begins with an exhibition game on the road at D-1 Gardner-Webb in late August.
Allen will open their season officially at home on Friday, Sept. 1 against fellow HBCU foe Bluefield State (WV) at 3PM. The AU women will then head on the road for three straight contests to face SIAC foe Edward Waters (9/5), Newberry (9/9 at 7 PM) and D-3 Wesleyan College in GA on Sept. 13. The rest of September will see Allen trade home and away games facing Bob Jones (SC), Shaw (NC), and Virginia State (9/29) on consecutive wekends at home while going on the road to Coker (SC) (9/19) and Albany State (GA) (9/27) in between.
Allen will then go on the road for a rematch against Bluefield State on Oct. 8 after they host the Gardner Webb JV team on Oct. 5.
The Lady Yellow Jackets will also remain home for four games in October to host Trinity Baptist (FL), Lincoln Univ. (PA) and Columbia College on Oct. 12, 16 and 20th respectively.
The Yellow Jackets head back on the road for the final time to battle Virginia State on Oct. 22 at 1 PM and Toccoa Falls College on Oct. 27 in North GA.
Finally, to close the season, the Lady Jackets will return home to host USC-Beaufort on Halloween at 1 PM at the SE Freight Lines Complex.
