Charlotte, NC- (McAlpine Pancake Course) -- The Allen University women's cross country team finished 24th at the Queens University Royals 5K Challenge on Friday.

Allen, however, finished 15th among Div. II schools. Some of the schools competing included Benedict, Claflin, Coker, Francis Marion, Lander, Newberry, USC-Aiken, Converse, Erskine and CIU. Converse College won the D-2 event.

Leading the Lady Yellow Jackets was freshman Autumn Clifton who finished in 113th place in the more than 180 runners in the meet with a time of 24:09 in the 3.5 mile course. 
Coming in 2nd on Allen's team and 154th overall was freshman Myiah Upshaw in a time of 26:35 while fellow freshman Sia Ouattara was 3rd on the team and 157th overall with a time of 26:52.

Finishing 4th on Allen was freshman Maya Jackson coming in 168th in 30:10 while fellow freshman Kiara Wilson came in right behind Jackson in 169th in 30:29. Sophomore track sprinter Measha Jones also competed as an individual coming in a time of 31:28. 

The Allen women will close out their season with the SIAC Conference Meet on Oct. 20 at Middle Georgia State University.
