NEWBERRY, S.C. --- In their third meet of the season, the Allen University women's cross country team raced Saturday at the Newberry Invitational, hosted by Newberry College. 

Once again, Deborah Boyd was the first Yellow Jacket to cross the finish line as she finished 29th overall with a time of 24:55.3. Siata Ouattara posted the second-best time for Allen at 30:12.5 followed by Caseyona Hight (32:44.7), Myiah Upshaw (32:45.4) and Delaney Frierson (33:30.2) who all finished immediately after each other.

The Yellow Jackets will take a six-day break from competition before traveling to Charlotte, North Carolina for the Royals Challenge at Queens University on Friday, October 11.
