CHARLOTTE,
N.C. - The Allen University women's cross country team placed 16th overall at the Queens City 5K Open held at McAlpine Park in Charlotte.
Benedict won the women's meet that consisted of various D-2, D-3, and NAIA teams from around the southeast region.
Leading the Lady Yellow Jackets was juniorÂ
Cori Calloway finishing 61st overall in the 5K in an impressive 24:17. She was followed by sophomoreÂ
Measha Jones in a time of 28:26 for 93rd place. Fellow sophomoreÂ
Ayani Taylor then finished 3rd on the team and 103rd overall in a time of 33:33.
Sophomore
Aisha Patterson then came next in a time of 35:13 while freshmanÂ
Antoinette Adams finished out the scoring with a time of 35:14.
Freshman
Kiana Pack also raced for the Jackets as an individual finishing in 35:16.
The women will next race down at Coastal Carolina on Friday in the Chanticleer 5K Challenge.
