COLUMBIA, S.C. — Due to a major winter storm forecasted to impact South Carolina beginning Saturday morning, January 24, Allen University Athletics has announced an update to the Men's and Women's Basketball game schedule originally set for Saturday.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Watch for much of the state, with the storm expected to bring snow, sleet, and freezing rain across Upstate South Carolina through Monday, January 26. In the interest of student-athlete safety, travel concerns, and campus operations, the decision was made to move the contest versus Central State University up one day.
UPDATED GAME SCHEDULE

- AU Women's Tip-Off: 12:00 PM vs Central State University
- AU Men's Tip-Off: 2:00 PM vs Central State University
- Location: John Hurst Adams Gymnasium (The Hive)
The games were originally scheduled for Saturday, January 24, with the women's game set for a 5:30 PM tip-off. Moving the doubleheader to Friday allows all teams, staff, and fans to avoid hazardous travel conditions expected to worsen over the weekend.
