Salisbury, NC — In a gritty road test between two HBCU rivals, the Allen University women's volleyball team pushed Livingstone College to the brink in a back-and-forth five-set marathon, but ultimately fell short, 3–2, in a match that showcased fierce rallies, standout performances, and momentum swings from start to finish.
The Lady Yellow Jackets struck first, taking the opening set 26–24 with aggressive net play and disciplined service pressure. Livingstone, however, responded with poise, winning the next two sets (25–22, 25–19).

But in the end, the Lady Blue Bears seized control early in the final frame and never looked back—closing the match with a 15–7 victory to improve their home record and spoil Allen's comeback bid.
