COLUMBIA, SC — As the buzz around Allen University Football reaches a fever pitch, ABC Columbia pulled up to campus Thursday to get a closer look at what's brewing inside Coach Cedric Pearl's powerhouse program—and the timing couldn't have been better.

Coach Pearl spoke to the media about the depth and the mentality of a group of players that are coming into their own and he couldn't be more happier.
"This isn't a surprise to us as we see them everyday in practice. We have some of the top players in the SIAC and I have a pleasure of coaching them everyday." - Coach Pearl

With the inaugural SIAC-COC Challenge kicking off Saturday, November 15 at 4:00 PM at Bolden Stadium, the Yellow Jackets are riding a tidal wave of momentum—winners of three straight and scorching the scoreboard with 109 points over that stretch. This isn't basketball, but the way Allen is moving the chains, fans could be forgiven for double-checking the scoreboard.

Feature Focus: Duncan, Da Vision, & Dismukes

ABC's cameras captured what the entire SIAC already knows:

  • Fabian Duncan, the newly crowned 2025 SIAC Player of the Year, is a load to bring down. The sophomore running back is the first 1,000-yard rusher in school history on pace to eclipse 1,200 yards only needing 47. Duncan is also the emotional leader of this resurgent squad.
  • His success is no solo act. Meet Da Vision—Allen's intimidating offensive line led by First-Team All-SIAC selection Chance Bush, Second-Team enforcer Zyrus Craft, and Second-Team Tight End Michael Bowman, who doubles as a dominant blocker and a dangerous receiving threat.
  • Behind center is Junior QB Jamir Dismukes, a Second-Team All-SIAC selection and one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in NCAA Division II. He's thrown for over 2,300 yards and thrown for 17 touchdowns, and rushed for 6 touchdowns, carving up defenses with poise and precision
Defensive Dogs & Explosive Playmakers

And don't sleep on the defense. This unit is led by First-Team All-SIAC sack machine Amarie Fleming, who leads the league with 13.5 sacks. In the secondary, lockdown DB Aeron Gresham (Second Team) makes quarterbacks think twice, and DL Lance Carson (Second Team) brings constant pressure up front.

Offensively, Allen's firepower goes beyond the usual suspects. Wide Receiver Marcus Fleming ranks 3rd in the SIAC with 685 receiving yards, and he's flanked by game-changers like Calvin Parker and the dynamic SIAC Player of the Week past recipient Nanders Lawrence, who has become a Swiss Army knife for this team.

Final Game. Final Statement.

This Saturday, the Yellow Jackets look to put the perfect exclamation point on their 2025 campaign—hosting Erskine College in a postseason clash that's bigger than just a trophy.

This is legacy.

This is the new standard at Allen.

This is the SIAC-COC Challenge.
