COLUMBIA, S.C. — Allen University Football officially announced its 2026 signing class on National Signing Day, unveiling a balanced and impactful group of transfers and incoming freshmen set to strengthen the Yellow Jackets on both sides of the ball.

The Allen University Athletic Department hosted its First Annual College Football National Signing Day celebration at the AU Campus Mall, welcoming student-athletes, families, supporters, and those closely connected with the Yellow Jackets football program. The event marked a significant milestone for the program and highlighted the continued momentum surrounding Allen University Athletics.

Making a special guest appearance was Allen University President Stanley Pritchett, who, alongside Athletic Director Stanley Cromartie, offered high praise for the direction of the football program and its leadership. Under the guidance of Cedric Pearl, the Yellow Jackets introduced 20-plus new signees, officially welcoming them into the program as part of the 2026 class.

The 2026 class features experienced transfers from NCAA Division I, Division II, NAIA, and junior college programs, paired with a promising freshman group from talent-rich high school pipelines across the Southeast. The class addresses key needs along the offensive line, defensive front, skill positions, and special teams as the Yellow Jackets continue building toward sustained SIAC contention.

Headlining the transfer group is quarterback Andre Washington (Alcorn State), who brings Division I experience to the offense, along with wide receivers Deveon Williams (Defiance College), Jayden Westbrook (Briar Cliff University), and Jalen Bryant (Rochester Community & Technical College), adding depth and playmaking ability to the passing game. The offensive line is bolstered by Jayden Benjamin (University of West Georgia) and Jordan Thornton (Anderson University), while the defensive front gains size and strength with Kamari Hall (Barton College) and linebacker Evan Craighead (Alabama A&M University). Special teams also receive a boost with Christian Rountree (Andrews University).

The incoming freshman class showcases athleticism and upside, led by quarterback PJ Wolfe (Norcross High School), defensive end Tony Broxton Jr. (DeMBridges Preparatory School), and linebacker Markavion Johnson-Smith (Bainbridge High School). The class includes multiple offensive and defensive linemen, reinforcing the program's emphasis on physicality in the trenches.
