Box Score COLUMBIA, S.C. --- After being tied at the half, the Allen University men's basketball team saw Miles College pull away in the second half of Monday night's game to defeat the Yellow Jackets, 62-51. 

In a low scoring first half, 28-28, Peyton Weathersby had a strong showing through the first 20 minutes of the game with eight points and eight rebounds at the break. The second half opened with Miles on a 10-2 run through the first seven minutes that forced Allen into an eight point deficit. The Yellow Jackets never wavered and cut that deficit, that reached as much as 12 points, down to five points as Mike Best sank a three-point shot with 5:38 to play. However, it would not be enough as Miles did not relinquish their lead before time expired. 

Jordan Edmond finished the game as Allen's leading scorer with 11 points, marking his fifth game this season in double-figures. Weathersby added 10 points and finished with a team-best eight rebounds.  As a team, the Yellow Jackets saw 10 different players score on Monday. 

Allen returns to action on the road on Saturday, December 21 at Tuskegee. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. eastern in Tuskegee, Alabama.
