Box Score SAVANNAH, G.A. --- Despite a competitive effort, the Allen University volleyball team was defeated at Savannah State Friday in three sets (20-25, 17-25, 22-25).

Dazzalon Larkins recorded a team-best nine kills, followed by Maliyah Spencer with eight and Sydney Ross with seven of her own. Ross proved to be effective at the net as she landed her seven kills in 13 attacks for a hitting percentage of .462. Larkins also added a pair of aces in Friday's effort, meanwhile Zyara Harrison led Allen with 16 assists. 

Defensivley, two Yellow Jackets reached double-digits in digs as Myra Lopez tallied 13 and Jaida Jones totaled 11. 

The Yellow Jackets face a short-turnaround before their next match as they travel from SSU to Jacksonville, Florida to take on Edward Waters tomorrow, Saturday, October 18, at 2:00 p.m.
