ATLANTA, Ga. (February 7, 2023) – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) announced its men's and women's basketball Players of the Week on Tuesday and named senior wing Cameron Sembly as SIAC Newcomer of the Week.

This is his second SIAC award of the season as he recently won the SIAC Player of the Week award two weeks ago.

NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – Cameron Sembly, Allen

Senior wing Cameron Sembly led Allen to a 1-1 week from Jan. 30 through Feb. 5 as he averaged 15 points per game, 4 reb/game, and added two blocks and two steals. He scored 13 points in the loss to Savannah playing all 40 minutes and then scored 17 points on Saturday in the win over Albany State while shooting 6-of-7 from the floor.

On the season, He is currently averaging 13.5 points/game, 3 rebounds/game and 1.2 steals/game while shooting over 51% from the floor overall and leads the team with 99 made field goals on the season so far.
He also leads the team in rebounds with 91 averaging 5.1/game, first in points with 243, 2nd on the team in assists with 29 and second in blocks with 12.

He will next lead the Yellow Jackets into a matchup at Rival Benedict on Saturday at 3:00 pm at C.A. Johnson HS.
