Box Score COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Allen University men's basketball team picked up their first official win of the season on Monday night squeaking past NAIA foe Morris College 90-83 in overtime from Adams Gym.
Allen was led by 16 points and 9 assists from junior point guard
G'Shan Aldridge along with 10 points and 4 rebounds from senior shooting guard
Austin James. Sophomore shooting guard
Peyton Weathersby was the 3rd member of the AU quartet that scored in double figures finishing with 15 points, 3 steals, and 4 boards. Junior forward
Tavis Bridges was the final Yellowjacket to finish in double digits with 11 points and 8 rebounds.
Allen shot 40 percent in the first half while Morris shot 40 percent overall as well but 52 percent from three as Allen held just a 42-40Â halftime lead.
In the second half, Morris rallied back from a 13-point Allen lead to tie the game at 77 and send it to overtime. Allen led 71-58 with 8 minutes to go but only managed 6 points the remainder of the way as Morris finished the game on a 19-6 run. Allen, though, would regroup and outscore the Hornets 13-6 in the overtime period to pick up the victory.

Talton Jones with 9 points while senior forward
Mohamed Alkadi had 5 points and 8 rebounds. Sophomore forward
Nakia Johnson, Jr. had 5 rebounds and 4 points while junior forward
Tyriq McAdoo added 6 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals.
The Allen men will next remain home through the Thanksgiving break to start SIAC West Division conference play hosting Lemoyne Owen College (TN) on Saturday at 4:00 PM.
