ATLANTA, Ga. (January 24, 2023) – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) announced its men's and women's basketball Players of the Week on Tuesday.
 
For the women, Jazmin Grayson (Benedict) was named Player of the Week, while junior guard Keyshuna Fair of Allen earned Newcomer of the Week. Destinee Jamison-Whitfield was also named runner-up for Player of the Week.
 
For the men, senior Cameron Sembly of Allen was named Player of the Week, alongside, Deshawn Bartley (Benedict) who earned Newcomer of the Week. Guard Chase Cook was also the runner-up for Newcomer of the Week.

Senior wing Cameron Sembly led the Jackets on the week as he posted a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds with two blocks in the 67-60 loss to Benedict on Saturday. He also scored seven points with three boards in the loss to Albany State. He averaged 11 points and 7.5 rebounds on the week.

The Yellow Jackets are now 2-16 on the season and 2-11 in the SIAC. They return to action on Wednesday when they head to Jacksonville to battle Edward Waters at 7:45 pm before returning home Saturday to host EWU at 4:15 PM.
