Box Score 2 EMERSON, GA - The Allen University Volleyball team completed a thrilling comeback on Friday evening rallying from two sets down to stun Tuskegee University in five sets, 3-2.
Tuskegee stormed through the first two sets 25-11 and 25-22 to put the Jackets in a hole early. However, AU came roaring back to dominate a third set 25-16 and edge TU in the fourth 25-21 to force the fifth. Then, Allen held off the Tigers 15-10 to complete the comeback.Â
Allen fell in three sets earlier in the day to Spring Hill College (Ala.) to split their matches on Day 1 of the SIAC Crossover tournament at LakePoint Sports Complex.
Allen Improves to 8-4 on the season and 3-2 in the SIAC. Freshman outside hitter
Maliyah Spencer led Allen with 16 kills in hte big win along with 14 digs and 5 assisted blocks for her first double-double of the season. Junior setter
Kayla Chambliss also posted a double-double with 20 assists and 20 digs along with an ace and 5 kills.

Jani Smith also played well tallying 5 kills and 2 aces with a block while junior OH
Natalia Maciejewska posted 5 kills as well with 4 digs and a block. Freshman setter
Jyla Clayton assisted on 14 kills along with 3 kills and 3 digs.
The Yellow Jackets return to action Saturday morning with more SIAC matches beginning with Miles College at 10 am.Â
