COLUMBIA, S.C. - Allen University senior defensive end, Kerry Thompson, Jr. will be participating in the 2nd annual HBCU Pigskin Showdown on December 17 in the Marion/Selma area of Alabama. The announcement came yesterday as Thompson accepted his invitation.


The Pigskin Showdown is an All-Star game for HBCU draft-eligible players that is presented by NBC Sports. The game will begin at 1:00 PM EST on CNBC and Peacock on Saturday, Dec. 17.

Thompson, a native of Birmingham, AL attended Helena HS and is a 6-4, 220 lb. DE. He recorded 23 total tackles, 10 of which were solo, along with 3.5 tackles-for-loss and 2 sacks on the year over 7 games played along with a pass breakup, a QB hurry, and a fumble recovery.
