COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Allen University Cross Country team competed at nearby NAIA Columbia College on Saturday morning in the Akiah McMillan 6K Koala Invitational at the Par Tee Golf Center.

The Allen women finished 14th overall in the mostly Div. II race finishing just behind Gaston College and Spartanburg Methodist while UNC-Pembroke and Benedict finished 1-2 in the team standings. Individually, UNCP had the winning mark finishing in 21:42.

Sophomore Cori Calloway led the Jacket women finishing in 76th overall out of the more than 100 runners that competed. Calloway ran a time of 30:02 to lead Allen while freshman Measha Jones then came next in a time of 34:17 to place 89th. Sophomore Aisha Patterson then placed third for Allen in a time of 39:17 while freshman Jasmine Mayes crossed the line in 39:57.

Freshman Antoinette Adams then completed the scoring in a time of 44:13 while Kiana Pack ran a time of 45:20.

The Lady Yellow Jacket women will next compete in the Bulldog 5K Stampede in Wingate, NC on Friday at 4 PM.
