ATLANTA, G.A. — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference recognized 1,074 student-athletes for their academic excellence Friday, including 61 student-athletes from Allen University.
The SIAC Commissioner's All-Academic Team features student-athletes who earned a 3.4 or better cumulative grade point average for the past academic year. Allen saw representatives from all nine of its SIAC affiliated teams, including men's basketball (5), women's basketball (6), men's cross country (1), women's cross country (3), football (15), softball (12), men's track and field (7), women's track and field (6), and women's volleyball (10).
Additionally, student-athletes who held the highest cumulative grade point averages within their respective sports are also named to the SIAC All-Academic Team. The nine Yellow Jackets recognized for this academic achievement included: Jeramyah Adams (Softball), Lianna Davis (Women's Track and Field), Tamia Horton (Volleyball), Ky'Den Mays (Men's Basketball), Kiara Moss (Women's Track and Field), Kai Queen (Men's Basketball), Devin Singletary (Men's Track and Field), Takiya Thomas (Softball), and Santana Wright (Men's Track and Field).
