2nd half just under way

WBB Halftime: 3/4/2026 | By Phil Jackson, Allen University Director of Sports Information and Communications

MORROW, GA — The Allen University Lady Yellow Jackets find themselves trailing the Miles College Golden Bears 40–31 at halftime in the quarterfinal round of the 2026 SIAC Women's Basketball Championship inside the Clayton County Convocation Center.

Allen showed flashes offensively in the opening half, shooting 40% from the field (12-30) and knocking down 4 three-pointers, but Miles used a strong first quarter to build an early advantage.

The Golden Bears jumped out quickly, outscoring the Lady Yellow Jackets 26–12 in the opening quarter, before Allen settled into the game and responded in the second period. The Lady Yellow Jackets tightened defensively and found rhythm offensively, winning the second quarter 19–14 to cut the deficit to nine heading into halftime.

Individual Leaders – Allen

Peighton Jambor leads the Lady Yellow Jackets at the break with 11 points, shooting 4-for-8 from the field and adding 5 rebounds, providing a steady offensive presence.

Anissa Tuitt has added 5 points and 5 rebounds, while Eboni Clay has chipped in 5 points, connecting on a three-pointer to help spark Allen's second-quarter push.

Jasmine Norman has also contributed 3 assists and a steal, helping facilitate the offense and create opportunities for teammates.

Team Notes

Allen has been strong on the glass, pulling down 23 rebounds in the first half while recording 7 assists and 4 steals defensively.

However, the Lady Yellow Jackets will look to slow Miles' interior attack in the second half, as the Golden Bears have capitalized on scoring in the paint and transition opportunities

Looking Ahead

With momentum building late in the second quarter, Allen will look to carry that energy into the third period as the Lady Yellow Jackets attempt to close the gap and keep their SIAC Championship run alive.

Second half action is underway shortly from Morrow, Georgia.
