COLUMBIA, S.C. — In a high-stakes battle between two SIAC powerhouses, the Allen University Lady Yellow Jackets defended their home floor with ferocity, defeating Tuskegee University 69–56 on Saturday afternoon at Adams Gymnasium. This landmark win marks Allen's first-ever victory over Tuskegee since joining the SIAC, and it couldn't have come at a better time—with playoff positioning heating up and momentum rising behind a five-game winning streak.

Battle of Division #3s

Both squads entered the contest ranked third in their respective SIAC divisions—Tuskegee in the West, Allen in the East. The matchup carried major implications for postseason seeding, but it was Allen who rose to the occasion, improving to 13-6 overall and 12-5 in SIAC play, while handing Tuskegee their 8th loss of the season.

From the opening tip, the Lady Yellow Jackets controlled the game. They stormed out to a 14–4 first-quarter lead, locking down Tuskegee defensively and never looking back.

TEAM DOMINANCE FROM START TO FINISH

The Lady Yellow Jackets executed a complete team effort with ten different players contributing points. Allen shot an efficient 43.1% from the field, including 40% from beyond the arc, while locking Tuskegee into just 4 points in the first quarter.

They won the rebound battle with 30 boards, shared the ball for 13 assists, and converted defense into offense with 16 steals and 25 points off turnovers—a testament to their relentless hustle and team cohesion.

They also dominated the paint with 32 points inside and racked up 19 fast break points, displaying both finesse and firepower.
