The Allen University women's basketball team delivered a commanding performance on the road Saturday afternoon, defeating Spring Hill College 75–59 in a game defined by defensive intensity, balanced offense, and championship-level composure.
After a slow start in the opening quarter, the Lady Yellow Jackets flipped the momentum in the second period behind efficient shooting and relentless pressure, outscoring Spring Hill 29–12 to seize control. Allen shot an impressive 48.4% from the field and 38.1% from three, turning defensive stops into transition opportunities and forcing 18 turnovers while recording 17 steals.
Anissa Tuitt led the offensive charge and stuffed the stat sheet with 13 points, five rebounds, four assists, four steals and two blocks, impacting every single phase of the game. Daiysha Brown and Jamicia Davis each added 10 points, while Peighton Jambor contributed nine points and six rebounds. Morgan Smith chipped in eight points, and the bench proved decisive, pouring in 40 points to overwhelm Spring Hill's rotation.
Inside play and hustle also fueled the victory. Allen controlled the glass with 39 rebounds and dominated the paint with 40 points inside, showcasing physicality and execution on both ends. Tanaja Kennedy orchestrated the offense with four assists, helping the Yellow Jackets maintain rhythm and spacing throughout the contest.
The win carries major conference implications. With the victory, Allen strengthens its standing in the SIAC East, holding one of the top records in the division and continuing to apply pressure to the conference leaders as postseason positioning tightens.
