COLUMBIA, S.C. --- The Allen University men's basketball team was defeated at Morehouse College Thursday night, 72-52. 

After trailing early on by four points, 8-4, Allen bounced back with a 5-0 run over a two minute span that was capped off by a three-pointer from Ethan Hill to take a 9-8 lead with 13:12 remaining in the first half. Five minutes later, Peyton Weathersby sank a shot from distance to push Allen ahead 19-14 with 8:27 left before the break. However, Morehouse responded with an offensive run and took a 36-30 lead into the locker rooms. The second half saw the Maroon Tigers extend their advantage and ultimately pull away for the win. 

Weathersby led the Yellow Jackets with 12 points and six rebounds. Hill added 10 points in 13 minutes to Thursday's effort. 

Allen travels to Jacksonville, Florida for their next SIAC contest against Edward Waters. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Adams-Jenkins Community Sports and Music Complex.
