COLUMBIA, S.C. --- The Allen University men's basketball team was defeated by Morehouse College Monday night, 83-51. 

After trailing at halftime, 39-26, the Yellow Jackets came out of the locker rooms with a strong offensive showing early in the second half. A three point shot from Peyton Weathersby and a layup from Jordan Edmond gave Allen a five point swing that cut Morehouse's lead down to eight points, 45-37, with 15:28 remaining. However, the Tigers responded and halted Allen's comeback efforts for the remainder of the game. 

Edmond led the Yellow Jackets with 10 points and five rebounds. Forward Baker Beal scored nine points in his 13 minutes on the floor, while making all three of his shot attempts. Senior guard Jeremiah Francis added seven points, on 3-of-4 shooting, in 15 minutes of action. 

Allen will conclude their regular season Wednesday, February 26 against Clark Atlanta. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. inside John Hurst Adams Gymnasium.
