COLUMBIA, S.C. --- In their final game of the 2024-2025 season, the Allen University men's basketball team fell to Clark Atlanta Wednesday, 73-66.
The second meeting this season between the Yellow Jackets and Panthers was a back-and-forth battle throughout with 11 lead changes and five ties. After the game was tied, 36-36, at halftime, Allen saw CAU take a one point lead with 7:56 remaining, 56-55. From that point on, despite a valiant effort, the Yellow Jackets were unable to ever overcome the deficit they faced before time expired.
Peyton Weathersby was Allen's top scorer with 14 points that included a 4-of-7 shooting performance from three-point range. Wednesday marked the fifteenth time this season that Weathersby has scored double-figures in Allen's 27 games.
Tavis Bridges also added 10 points on 5-of-6 shooting. Ahkwari Smith scored nine points and Jremiah Francis totaled eight points and dished four assists to aid Allen's efforts.
Allen ends the season with a 6-21 overall record.
