ROCK HILL, S.C. — Allen University volleyball opened their 2024 season in winning fashion Thursday as they traveled to Clinton College, and left with the victory in five sets (25-20, 22-25, 25-18, 16-25, 15-11).
Across the five-sets Allen recorded 42 kills, led by senior Dazzalon Larkins with a team-best 12 kills in 30 attacks. The Yellow Jackets' attack was further bolstered by Tahmiah Lawson (seven kills), Jaida Hansen (seven kills), and Maliyah Spencer (seven kills). Larkins also posted two blocks, as Myra Lopez had 17 digs. Additionally, Sa'Nyah Daly recorded 20 assists, while fellow setter Zyara Harrison tallied 19.
The Yellow Jackets continue their early season road trip with a visit to Livingstone College in Salisbury, N.C. Friday, September 5. First serve is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
