COLUMBIA, S.C. --- Allen University volleyball took the floor inside John Hurst Adams Gymnasium for the first time this season Thursday, and came away victorious over Paine College, 3-1. The Yellow Jackets (2-1) defeated Paine in four sets (25-15, 24-26, 25-23, 25-16). 

Dacia Lowery and Kaiya Walker each led Alen in hitting percentage Friday as Lowery connected on 10 kills in 19 attacks (.421) and Walker recorded four kills in eight swings (.500). Lowery and Maliyah Spencer were the two Yellow Jackets to post double-digit kills in the victory as Spencer led the team with 17. Zyara Harrison and Sa'Nyah Daly, once again, led Allen in assists with 20 and 15, respectively. Daly also added two service aces, along with Taylor Lawrence and Jaida Jones. Defensively, Lawrence led the way for Allen with two solo blocks and three block assists. Also, Myra Lopez recorded a team-high 21 digs against the Lions. 

The Yellow Jackets will host Clinton College Wednesday, September 18, at 6:00 p.m. in their second home match of the season.
