ALBANY, G.A. --- Allen softball fell in both games of their final SIAC doubleheader of the season Friday, dropping game one at Albany State, 9-1 in five innings, and game two, 12-0 in five innings.
GAME ONE:
Allen scored their lone run in game one in the second inning as
Jada Sanders reached on a fielding error by the Albany State left fielder, which allowed
Faith Robinson to score from second base. Robinson also tallied a hit in Friday's effort, along with
Tania Shoulders and
Ta'Keviya Sims. Both Shoulders and Sims stole a base, as well, bringing their season totals to 12 stolen bases, and three swiped bags, respectively.
GAME TWO:
Later Friday evening, the Yellow Jackets recorded six hits, but were unable to plate a run in the second game of their SIAC series against the Golden Rams. Shoulders, a freshman Decatur, Georgia native, continued her strong offensive day, notching her third multi-hit performance of the season, and second of the week, going 2-for-3 with another stolen base.

Elissa Rich and
Naziha Alfred combined to strikeout six Albany State batters through four innings of action.
