COLUMBIA, S.C. --- Allen men's basketball held a 30-28 lead over Clark Atlanta at halftime Saturday, but it would not be enough as the Yellow Jackets fell, 72-55.
Through the first half, Allen used a balanced offensive attack for success with eight different Yellow Jackets scoring. At the break,
Malik Lacewell led Allen with nine points. Over the final 20 minutes, Clark Atlanta shot 18-19 from the free-throw line and held Allen to one made three-pointer as the Panthers scored 44 points in the second half for the win.
Talton Jones was Allen's lone scorer in double-figures Saturday, posting 11 points. Lacewell finished with nine points, and
Mohamed Alkadi tallied eight points and four rebounds in Saturday's effort.
Allen will conclude their regular season at John Hurst Adams Gymnasium Monday, Feb. 26 at 7:30 p.m. for their home finale against Morehouse.
