Box Score WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. --- The Allen University women's basketball team outscored Carolina University by 21 points in the second half of Monday's contest to secure their fourth victory of the season, 85-59. 

A competitive first quarter saw the Yellow Jackets lead by two at the end of one. In the second, Allen shot 61.5% from the floor, including making four-of-eight shots from the perimeter, to extend their lead to five points heading into halftime. The third and fourth quarters were where the Yellow Jackets began to pull away from the Bruins, as Allen stepped up defensively to hold Carolina to just eight made baskets in the second half. The Yellow Jackets forced 28 Carolina turnovers and turned those into 21 points for themselves. Throughout the second-half, the Yellow Jackets sank 15 baskets, and shot 41% from distance, while going a perfect eight-for-eight at the free-throw line. For the entire game, Allen made 13-of-14 from the charity stripe. 

Taliah Wesley led the Yellow Jackets with a season-best 23 points while shooting eight-of-16 from the floor, including five-of-eight from three-point range. Wesley also grabbed a team-best nine rebounds in the victory. Joining the senior guard in double-figure scoring was Morgan Smith with 16 points, Eboni Clay with 15, Sadie Williams with 12, and Peighton Jambor with 10 points in 11 minutes of action. 

The Yellow Jackets continue their seven-game road trip Friday, November 22 with a visit to North Georgia. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in Dahlonega, Georgia.
